The year 2017 is a great one for gaming due to the release of several top-tier titles. However, there are quite a few more left before the year comes to an end, and we’re going to talk about a few of them today.

As expected, game publishers tend to release a lot of their big titles near the fourth quarter and during the fourth quarter of any given year. The year 2017 is no different, as publishers have already released a number of hit titles. The likes of “Forza Motorsport 7,” “Gran Turismo Sport,” “Cuphead,” and “Shadow of War,” have certainly caused a stir.

But what about the ones to come? Let’s get down to that, shall we?

Super Mario Odyssey

Since the release of the Nintendo Switch earlier this year, the Japanese console maker has released a number of hits. “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” is probably the most known, but the company is ready to up the ante with the upcoming release of “Super Mario Odyssey” on October 27, 2017.

“Super Mario Odyssey” is a whole new take on a 3D Mario game. This time around, Nintendo is bringing its flagship character to the open world, and the best thing? It comes off as a spiritual successor to “Super Mario 64.”

Assassin’s Creed Origins

It’s been quite a while since we’ve gotten a quality Assassin’s Creed game, and that could all change with the release of “Assassin’s Creed Origins” for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 27, 2017.

The game aims to alter the series forever by going to Egypt and completely overhauling the combat. It looks like a completely different game when compared to the others, and we’ll definitely find out if that’s a good thing in the coming days.

Additionally, this is the first Assassin’s Creed game to have a black lead character.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

The first game released back in 2015 was a blast; therefore, we expect the same from “Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.” The game is all about killing Nazis and freeing the United States from their clutches.

The storytelling here is quite impressive, making for one of the few first person shooter games that still focuses on a quality singleplayer campaign rather than strictly multiplayer. After the trilogy comes to an end, we may have to wait a long time to see the return of a new Wolfenstein game.

Get ready to play “Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus come October 27, 2017, on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2

Another year, and another Star Wars game. “Star Wars: Battlefront 2” is shaping up to be a good game. Many of the stories here are based on the movies, along with many of the characters. We’re not sure if the game will tie in with the new film, but that’s not important regardless.

Get ready to take advantage of the force come November 17, 2017, on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC.
